As part of their continued international expansion, Asystom are delighted to announce their appointment of Coombs-Hopkins as their specialist reseller for the south west of the USA. Coombs-Hopkins will supply Asystom’s predictive maintenance technology in the water and waste management industries in the states of California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Southern Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

Coombs-Hopkins has provided companies with specialized and effective water and wastewater treatment systems and equipment for more than 35 years and are considered one of the most respected manufacturer’s representatives in the water and wastewater industry.

Asystom’s solution is easily scalable, it monitors and analyses any rotating machine and helps to predict anomalies wirelessly and non-intrusively with a simple installation. Sensors communicate through a LoRa network and data are encrypted end to end. Asystom’s sensors monitor not only heat and vibration, but uniquely ultrasound too, meaning customers have the earliest possible alert of drift (before any damage has occurred). They run on standard batteries for up to 10 years without intervention and are controlled remotely.  An additional advantage is that the sensors can be positioned up to 1km away from the gateway. Data is processed at the Edge on the sensors before being sent to a dedicated server either in the cloud or on premises and can also be integrated easily into a customer’s existing software/platforms.

Some insights from the new partnership

Adrian McLellan, Managing Consultant at Asystom
“This is a very positive next step in Asystom’s successful continued expansion in the USA. Partnering with Coombs-Hopkins will enable us together to allow water treatment logistics companies to optimize their assets and environmental commitments.”

Scott Forsling, Vice President at Coombs-Hopkins
“Customers are looking for flexible solutions to meet the changing needs of their organizations. The Asystom solution allows water/waste management customers to optimize their assets’ operation; this is due to the solution’s capabilities of predicting equipment failure and transmitting all data in real-time to any location of the client’s choosing. The information and alerts are then presented on a comprehensive dashboard, making it easy for our clients to see their data.”
